Great news! As I anticipated back in February, the Bank of America Alaska Air credit card signup bonus has increased to 30,000 miles with no minimum spend!
Please note, I do not earn a commission off of the credit card link herein. I always link to the highest publicly available offer, regardless of whether I earn bonus points or not off of the referral. As always, your support by signing up via my referral links (when available) is greatly appreciated!
These are the days I like being in the points and miles game! As I mentioned back in February, thanks to some federal filings by Alaska Airlines, we knew that they were planning on increasing their signup bonus on the Alaska Airlines Visa Signature card to 30,000 miles. Well, that day is today! The link for the 30,000 signup bonus went up live at some time today.
You can only apply for the card via the Bank of America website, but I would anticipate we see the offer available on the Alaska Airlines website in the coming days. What remains to be seen however is whether the Alaska Airlines website signup will offer a $100 statement credit for spending $1,000 in the first three months. I will probably wait a week or two before signing up for another Alaska Airlines card just in case that offer comes back.
The card is highly churnable and while the annual fee is not waived for the first year ($75 per year), you earn the 30,000 bonus miles upon approval for the card with a credit limit of more than $5,000. In addition, you will also receive a coach companion ticket from $121 every year that you are a cardholder, a free checked bag for you and up to 6 other passengers on your reservation and no foreign transaction fees. The card earns 3 miles per dollar spent on Alaska Airlines tickets, vacation packages, cargo and in-flight purchases and 1 mile per dollar spent on all other purchases.
I am a big fan of Alaska’s frequent flyer program and there is some definite value to be had with their miles. This card is arguably one of the best you can get for signup bonuses simply because the miles are so valuable, there is minimum spend and you get a $121 companion ticket to boot! I rarely try to push for cards, but seriously, pick this one up!
Will you be signing up for one of these cards?
